Child Identification and Safety Kit

Turpentine Creek is one of the very few USDA licensed
facilities for large carnivores in the U.S. We rescue neglected or
unwanted “Big Cats” and provide them with a safe home in a caring environment.
We are constantly building new habitats and shelters for our growing population
of lions, tigers, and other exotics on our 450 acre ranch. Each one of our
“Big Cats” has its own story. So...come let us share the beauty of our
ever-growing family of animal friends with you and your family.
Most Big Cats rescued by Turpentine Creek were originally purchased as cute
little fuzzy cubs by individuals who desired an exotic pet. As these animals
mature, behavioral problems are inevitable because Big Cats are extremely
dangerous and should not be kept in private homes, basements, or backyards.
Keeping one of these cats as a pet is not only dangerous, but also unhealthy for
the cat. There are more Big Cats in private homes than there are in the wild
and, as a result, some states have begun to regulate Big Cat ownership. As laws
restricting Big Cat ownership are passed, more animals are finding themselves in
need of help. TCWR receives frequent calls for help each year from
individuals who can no longer keep their “pet”. To serve as a refuge
for these surplus animals Turpentine Creek Foundation Inc. was founded in May,
1992.
“HELP US HELP THEM” Exotic cats never make good
pets!

and your family or your organization. Statistics say a child is reported
missing every 40 seconds in America. That is alarming to say the least.
It would be you hope you will never face a
circumstance where you need the resources available here. However, this
program can help your family to be prepared and thus aid in the speedy
recovery of missing children.
Included are safety tips and education links.
In this Child Safety Identification Program you will find the
